+ Bootsie Blue
Indigo Velvet are a young Tropical-pop quartet from Edinburgh, dubbed “one’s to watch 2016” by Scotland On Sunday, and championed by Vic Galloway on BBC Radio Scotland and Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio and in The Sun. This year, the band showcased at XpoNorth, T in The Park and the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and have been featured in an interview and spin on BBC Radio 1. With UK-wide gigs and festivals in the calendar plus an impressive 100,000 streams [and counting] via Spotify – the young quartet’s fanbase is growing rapidly and 2016 is their breakthrough year. Tonight they play Falkirk for the first time – a chance to hear a major new band in the making.
Bootsie Blue open the show. One of the freshest bands to appear on the Falkirk indie scene. With a debut EP imminent and having already played a host of gigs, the three-piece rhythm rock band are building a strong reputation – influenced by The Jesus and Mary Chain, Kasabian and The Doors.
